Things I liked about the book: Faith, family, friendships and relationships. All of those things being apart of Leah and Gavin and getting to know each other and becoming friends. Great dialogue and some humor added to the story. Interesting storyline that moved along at a good pace. But a couple of things got in my way from giving this a 5 star review. First the fire. I felt that issue was left open as no conclusion to how it got started. I kept waiting for an explanation. Second, Leah. I can totally understand her conflict with trust because of her dad but she seemed like a very unhappy person and not very open to others. A reclusive personality not wanting to be around anyone but family. Her insecurity came through with the way she interacted with Gavin and I found it hard to understand how he fell for her. Most of the time she shut herself off from others. Gavin had so much patience and time for her and she let herself be taken over with fear he would leave her like her dad. A true love story that he did not give up on her. I love this author and series but had a hard time with Leah. Waiting for Leah's story has certainly been a lesson in patience and it's definitely been worth the wait. I loved returning to the McNamara family again and being able to learn more about Leah (who has always intrigued me) and going behind the scenes so to speak was really a joy.Gavin is the perfect fit for Leah and I really enjoyed reading how their story unfolded as if you've been following the series, you know Leah is not the easiest person to get to know. However, that's part of what makes Gavin so great as he really gets Leah and loves her for who she is.Kimberly really outdid herself with this love story!
